Space applications

The primary added value of space activities stems from their applications here on Earth. One of the main objectives of the NSO is therefore to stimulate the use of space technology and satellite data for government, research and commercial purposes. One of the challenges lies in bringing together potential end users and the developers of space technology and satellite services. By collaborating with potential user groups to identify issues to which space applications may provide a solution, we can stimulate innovations that satisfy societal needs.

We provide Dutch users and developers of services with free access to satellite data pertaining to the Netherlands via the satellite data portal. Utilising schemes such as the SBIR allows us to give innovations an additional impulse.
