NEO is an innovative independent Dutch earth observation and geomatics company, established in 1996. NEO supplies information to over 750 customers using satellite imagery and airborne observations. Our customers manage infrastructure and environment or are active in agriculture, hydrology and forestry. Among our customers we count over 90 Dutch municipalities, provinces, water management councils, firefighters and police. We work for companies in utility management, telecommunications, building, dredging, media, advertising, cartography, car navigation, etc. NEO is active on 4 continents.
NEO and Space
NEO core products and services are:
- SIGNALEYESTM: The detection of spatial changes (new house, modified road, disappeared pond)
- DRYMON: The applications of soil moisture measurements form space in crop forecasting and hydrology
- MONFOR: The monitoring of forests for Kyoto Protocol Reporting and carbon fixation
- SATSHOP: the provision of satellite imagery and PictometryTM products to professional customers both as technical products and media-ready products
NEO detects spatial changes for customers. The SIGNALEYESTM service involves the use of NEO-technology for which patents are under development.
Earth observation images are compared to map data and to older imagery and changes are signalled. The change information relates always to objects of which NEO's customer holds information. A tax assessor and a building inspector needs to know whether a house has been changed. Car navigation maps need to be quality checked by an external change detection service. SIGNALEYESTM is also developed as web service.
