Geoserve B.V., a private corporation, was established in September 1997 to market and distribute satellite data and offer information and distribution services. Geoserve has an international profile with customers located in 15 countries and representatives in Belgium, France, Italy and Greece. These customers are active in many sectors, including security, oil & gas, agriculture and forestry.
Geoserve and Space
Geoserve has a distribution licence for all major imaging satellites (Worldview, Spot, EROS, Landsat, Envisat, Ikonos, QuickBird, Aster, etc.). The European Space Agency (ESA) has awarded the SARCOM consortium, in which Geoserve participates, a contract to distribute radar products worldwide acquired by the ERS and Envisat satellites.
Geoserve has a multiyear contract to supply the European Commission with satellite images from the ENVISAT and ERS satellites. In addition Geoserve delivers Digital Elevation Models (DEM´s) within the height resolution range of 2-50m. Geoserve operates IDADS which is an online archive with over 70.000 satellite images, from 10 different sources and taken between 1972 and today. Access is for professional users only.
